EARTH MONTH 2022 EVENTS & OTHER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
The City of Carlsbad is taking Earth Day Celebrations very seriously every year. The City has created and sponsored  many opportunities for Earth & People Centered Learning every week in April 2022 in Carlsbad.
First of all, check out the Earth Month Calendar of Events on the City of Carlsbad website, and make sure to register for those that need registration. 

For our side of things, of course we are all about sustainability, and the City is sponsoring our presence at the April 2nd celebration at the Pine Avenue Community Park, from 9 am to noon with 3 interactive activities booths: Quick Pickle Making , Honey Bees Observation Deck and Beeswax Candle Making and Composting Booth.
We will also release 30 minute webinars on Eco Home & Garden Tips every Thursday in April, on our Facebook, Instagram and Youtube pages, as well as via email directly to all Carlsbad residents registered for our newsletter and on our website (here). A GLIMPSE AT THE IN-PERSON EARTH MONTH KICK-OFF FESTIVAL
SPRING 2022 CARLSBAD HOME COMPOSTING PROGRAM 
reEarth has been working with The City of Carlsbad since 2018 to reduce, and ideally eliminate, the environmental, social and economic impacts associated with landfill disposal of food and yard waste generated in Carlsbad. The Carlsbad Home Composting Program addresses this organic waste produced by private residences.  

​The program is exclusively designed, developed and created for Carlsbad residents with sponsorship and support from the City of Carlsbad's Sustainable Materials Management Division. It includes the following elements:
1. FREE LIVE Home Composting Workshops, including comprehensive master workshops 6 times per year, monthly short workshops, monthly q&a and other LIVE educational special events; 
2. CITY SUBSIDIZED COMPOSTING SUPPLIES;
3. FREE educational and informational newsletters;
4. FREE customer support; and 
​5. FREE EVERGREEN instructional media.
